Happy Birthday to Max...

(Every now and again, I find Max playing with the baby's toys- it cracks me up!)

Yes, he's 3!!! We've been parents that long and kept him alive! We worked hard on this Thomas cake and I was dying to post it to show you Glenn's sculpting skills for the face- pretty incredible! There are so many perks to being married to an artist :).

I love that Max is 3. He has hit an EXTREMELY independent stage that I respect immensely. This little guy has a lot of gusto. He must do everything himself- if you try to help in ANY way, he backs up to where he was before the help and begins again (Riding his tricycle, opening packages, getting in or out of cars). I don't think this kid is going to need much hand holding in life.

Max has been cracking me up lately. He'll say the cutest things like: "Good idea, Mom", and "Guess what mom- Arthur is coming on Sunday" (he literally has dreams about the Thomas trains coming to visit us- and it is always on a Sunday). He also has a new obsession with band-aids, having me put them on everything (even in his hair if he bumps his head). Yesterday, he showed me a bruise and told me "Look mom- the horse stepped on me!" (I have a bruise from falling off a horse this weekend where the horse stepped on me). Half his stories now are told in sound effects and he never seems to be out of energy for anything! He is bright, loving and very enthusiastic about life. Way to go Max- we are so glad you are ours!

Max looks giant compared to the last time I saw him. You're cake looks great! Ben and I watch the food network and one of our favorite shows is a cake making one.

Please save me a piece and you can give it to us when you move by us!

Awesome cake you guys. And congrats on making it three years. Pretty crazy. Max is adorable. He might just end up as handsome as Glenn someday.
