Oh, the Horror!

Yes, at my own hand my son has suffered this (Glenn stole my camera this morning, so I will post a pic soon). Last week Max's hair really began to get too long. The front wasn't yielding those darling golden curls. Instead his hair began to hang limp and wavey around his eyebrows like he belonged in some toddler boy band. As his mother, I was ashamed.

So, overly confident, I took scissors to his hair while he was in the bathtub. I seriously am having a hard time even discussing this further. I cut off too much in the front and yet it still wasn't giving me his precious curls. So I left the rest of his hair (sides and back) too long. Glenn pointed out that this looked like a girl's haircut, so I went back with scissors again today and yielded the following look. Everytime I have a second to think about it I near burst out in tears. I adored those wild curls and was just trying to restore them. Now his hair is SHORT! I can only pray I haven't done permanent damage.

Tonight we go to Scawna's for Glenn to get his hair cut for graduation. Perhaps she'll be our saving grace, but until next time-

Shamelessly Shorn

I'm so sorry! Not having had any children with curly hair, it really didn't matter how short I cut their hair! At least, it didn't matter to me - they might have cared a great deal! Maybe that's why, when they were teenagers, they refused to let me cut their hair anymore!

I feel your pain! While cutting Peanut’s hair a few weeks ago, the clippers broke. For two days, his hair looked awful! I wish he would have kept a hat on because I was so embarrassed! But, as my dad says, the difference between a good hair cut and a bad one is a few weeks. Don’t worry, his beautiful curls will be back in full force!

Tramatic! Enjoy those wonderful curls while they last (I hope they grow back!) Preslie lost hers after she turned 3. I just loved them! ...Oh! and Congratulations on the big commencement address and Glenn's Degree! You guys are so wonderful and I am so happy for you!
