Turning 28 turned out to be a blast- especially thanks to my husband! I had an absolutely wonderful time. Thanks for all the calls, surprises and emails from friends and family!
It was supposed to be VERY low-key day because Glenn and I decided to celebrate our birthdays together in January by going to Disneyland together (no kids!). Turns out Glenn broke the rules and totally spoiled me :). He made me breakfast, got a new cell phone for me, sent me a card in the mail, washed my car, and then at 4:00 our babysitter showed up at our door and handed me an envelope with a cute note inside telling me to follow the GPS and meet him (Glenn) where it directed.
When I started the car to go, the CD player began playing Mission Impossible music with a message from Glenn (I mean, Agent Harmon) explaining my mission. The CD was full of fun and sentimental songs to listen to on the drive and I eventually ended up at California Pizza Kitchen where we had a blast having dinner together (turns out it was our waiter's birthday too!). We had hoped to take a walk on the beach together, but the sun sets by 5:00 pm here and it was just too dark. We'll do that for Glenn's birthday :).
After a quick shopping spree at the mall, we headed home to have cake and present with the boys. Really, it was a perfect day.
Thanks Love, for never letting an event go 'low-key'- even when planned! You are the best.
