Ohhh, Gelato

So, I found a new addiction today to further interfere with my 'look-great-in-a-swimsuit' goal... gelato. Yes, the real italian sort. Camille and I took the boys and headed to the farmer's market early this morning. It was there that it found me. Let's just let it suffice to say that the pint I brought home for Glenn didn't last ten minutes past the door between the two of us. Sweet, smooth, creamy- must be the food of heaven.

I was surprised by the farmer's market though. I had only expected a few farmers with some fresh produce, but found a whole city's worth of vendors instead. It was especially fun to visit an amazing bread bakery that my mom had introduced me to last October when we went to a chocolate expo together. Good memories. You know, I miss her everyday, but am learning to laugh more at her spunk in life. It has taken a while, but we're getting there.

Max had his one year appointment with the doctor- 25 lbs. and 32 1/4"... puts him off the charts on height, again. His Uncle Cory and Scott's genes had better not be too strong in him- it's expensive to feed you growing boys! But if the height comes with the good hearts, we'll take it.

I think I actually have a picture of the cake now. Max's cake was the 'mouse' on the right side. He consumed it with about as much enthusuasm as he has for the real thing. Very cute!

Well, Max certainly has the genes for "tall" so this is no surprise, is it!
